Ingredients
For the cookies
- 350g plain flour
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 large free range egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 230g unsalted butter
- 100g caster sugar
- 220g light soft brown sugar
- 150g chocolate chips
For the Cupcakes
- 100g burnt butter (start off with 125g, then measure again, as you'll lose some as the water evaporates)
- 30g soft butter
- 125g self raising flour
- 65g caster sugar
- 60g soft brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda (baking soda)
- 50g finely chopped choc chips
- 2 large eggs
- 1.5 tbsp milk
To decorate use vanilla buttercream, or even swiss meringue buttercream!
