Chicken tikka is an easy-to-cook dish in which chicken chunks boneless or chicken pieces with the bone are marinated in special spices and then grilled. This is one of India's most popular dishes. Chicken tikka can also be made into chicken tikka masala, where the grilled chicken pieces are added to a tasty gravy.
For making this chicken tikka, we need only two process
Proper Marination is the key to a mouth-melting juicy, tender & succulent chicken tikka. During marination, the chicken not only absorbs the flavor from spices & herbs but also tenderizes naturally without adding any chemical tenderizer.
Mostly we use tandoor oven to grill the chicken but I didn't use any tandoor oven for grilling chicken. I simply grilled chicken using a pan & oven rack. This is a really simple cooking method for making chicken smoky. this smoky aroma enhances the taste of the chicken. Finally, a bit of melted butter & cream brushed over the grilled chicken which makes the chicken more delicious like restaurant-style chicken tikka.
- Chicken 1 kg
- Hung curd + Fried onion paste 2 tbsp
- Ginger-garlic paste 1 tbsp each
- Tikka masala 1 tbsp
- Chaat masala 1 tsp
- Red chili powder 1 tsp
- Paprika powder 1 tsp
- Black pepper powder 1 tsp
- Cumin powder 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Mustard oil 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice 1 tsp
- Butter & oil for frying
- Cream & melted butter for basting
- Fresh coriander leaves & green chili chopped for garnishing
