Closely related to the more famous Negroni, the Boulevardier is simple, easy to make, delicious stirred down whiskey cocktail - a true classic. As part of my look at American Whiskey with Fred Siggins, this episode an expanded look at one of our 5 Great American Whiskey cocktails - The Boulevardier. As well as showing you how to make this classic cocktail, we also look at its history and why some cocktails are stirred and some are shaken.

The Boulevardier cocktail

  • 40ml whiskey (Woodford Reserve)
  • 20ml sweet vermouth (Dolin)
  • 20ml Campari
  • Orange twist garnish
  1. Add all ingredients to mixing glass, add ice and stir until chilled and diluted.
  2. Strain over ice in a glass, garnish and serve.
