To make onion tomato paste

  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Whole spices - peppercorns, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom
  • Onion - 2 nos. Chopped
  • Ginger - a picep chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves chopped
  • Tomatoes - 2 nos finely chopped
  • Water

To make Kadai panner 

  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Panner - 400 grams
  • Onion
  • Capsicum
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • Ground masala paste
  • Water
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chili - 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Fried panner
  • Sauteed onion and capsicum
  • Water - 2 tbsp
  • Fresh cream - 1 tbsp
  • Kasuri methi


  1. Chop Paneer roughly and keep them in a bowl.
  2. Heat some oil in a Kadai and fry the paneer pieces
  3. Take them out once they are golden brown in color, keep them aside
  4. Similarly, fry the onion and capsicum wedges and keep them aside
  5. To the same Kadai add oil, and whole spices, roast the whole spices
  6. Add ginger, garlic, onion, tomatoes, salt and saute them well
  7. Once they are cooked well, let them cool and grind it to a fine paste
  8. In a Kadai, add some oil, strain and add the ground masala paste and some water and bring it to a boil
  9. Add salt, chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and garam masala
  10. Once the gravy thickens and oil separates add the fried paneer, onion and capsicum wedges and close and cook for about 10 mins (add water if required)
  11. Finally, add some crushed Kasuri methi, add in the fresh cream and turn off the stove
  12. To assemble the Kadai paneer sliders, take the buns, place some lettuce at the bottom, place the Kadai paneer filling, grate some cheese, place tomato and onion slices
  13. Close the buns and serve them hot
