Ingredients :

  •  1 cup moong dal
  • Half cup sugar
  • Desi ghee - half cup
  •  Dry fruits

Procedure :

  1.  Soak the moong dal for about 4-5 hours.
  2.  Now grind the moong dal in a food processor or grinder without using water.
  3.  Add desi ghee in a pan and let it melt.
  4.  After it melts, add grinded dal/pulses in the pan.
  5.  Keep the flame at low.
  6.  Roast the mixture.
  7.  Prepare sugar syrup alongside by adding half cup sugar in a container.
  8.  For each cup of dal, add 3 cups of water.
  9. You can also add elaichi powder in the sugar syrup.
  10.  Now keep roasting the dal.
  11.  15-20 minutes later, it will start turning brown. Add more ghee.
  12.  Also, add dry fruits at this point.
  13.  Roast again.
  14.  After 5 minutes, add sugar syrup, and turn the gas to low.
  15.  Now keep mixing the mixture until the water evaporates and only halva is left.
  16.  You can also add some food color if you want.
  17.  Now halva is ready!
