This goes well with pork or chicken in place of applesauce.
- 3 Fuji apples,
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon,
- 2 T. white or brown sugar,
- 1 T. fresh minced ginger,
- 2 c. frozen black cherries,
- 1/2 tsp. allspice,
- 1 and 1/2 T. butter,
- 2 c. water,
- 1 T. corn starch with
- 1 T. cold water.
Cook slow covered for 20 minutes and 10 to finish uncovered.
