Potatoes and vegan cheese are among the most delicious food combinations. This casserole combines them and gives them a wonderful creamy texture.

Ingredients:

  • - 3 potatoes
  • - 7 oz vegan melting cheese
  • - 2 cups plant based milk
  • - 2 tbsp corn starch
  • - nutmeg to taste
  • - salt to taste
  • - oil to grease the baking dish

Procedure:

  1. - Slice the potatoes.
  2. - Place them in cold, salted water.Turn the fire on.
  3. - Boil the potatoes until cooked, drain.
  4. - For the bechamel sauce, place plant based milk in a pot, add corn starch.
  5. - Incorporate salt and nutmeg to taste.
  6. - Whisk until everything is dissolved.
  7. - Turn fire on.
  8. - Whisk nonstop until it thickens.
  9. - Oil a baking dish.
  10. - Spread some bechamel at the bottom.
  11. - Cover with potato slices.
  12. - Spread vegan melting cheese on top.
  13. - Keep adding layers in that order until you fill the baking dish.
  14. - Cover the top potato layer with bechamel and vegan cheese.
  15. - Bake at 350ª F for 20 minutes covered.
  16. - Uncover and bake until top is golden brown.
  17. - Serve hot.
